It has been five years since hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims fled their native country of Myanmar, after a deadly crackdown by the government.
The majority left for neighbouring Bangladesh, ending up in what is believed to be the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar. Nearly half a million Rohingya refugees currently registered in Bangladesh are children.
Families rely entirely on charities for food and medicine – five years on many feel the world has forgotten them. Both India and Bangladesh want to send them back to Myanmar, but with the military in charge there, it is not an option.
