Bao Fan, a high-profile Chinese billionaire, has been reported missing.
Investment bank China Renaissance reported his disappearance, announcing it had been unable to contact its founder.
Shares in the company plunged on Friday after the announcement.
In recent years, a number of high profile executives have disappeared in China, and Mr Fan’s disappearance has renewed concerns of a potential crackdown by the Chinese government on finance and tech figures.
