Chung Siu-king was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1992. Suffering from paralysis, swollen joints and brittle bones, Chung had a serious fall six years later that left her wheelchair-bound for the rest of her life. It took her three years to muster the courage to leave her flat to finish school and learn how to get around in a wheelchair on her own. But she went on to fulfil a childhood dream of becoming a dancer. Now in her 50s, Chung said wheelchair dancing has helped her regain self-confidence and pride.
