Gabon’s president, Ali Bongo, didn’t have long to celebrate his election victory this week.
Just after the declaration he’d won a third term, army officers announced a coup.
The election’s validity was disputed.
Bongo’s been president since 2009, succeeding his father who came to power in 1967.
