A fire broke out in a village building in China’s southwestern Guizhou province, social media footage released on July 10, 2023 showed. The blaze killed at least two people and injured six, according to local emergency services. The Leishan County Emergency Management Bureau posted a statement on WeChat saying that the fire broke out at about 9.50am and was put out 30 minutes later. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
