The famous rooster-logo Sriracha sauce has recently been running out, especially in the US, as the manufacturer scales back production, citing a low supply of red jalapeños from Mexico due to climate change. A bottle of the sauce has been found for sale online for as much as US$50, about a 10-fold price increase. A Mexican drought has reportedly affected the supply of peppers.
