Hundreds of students clashed with police in Kelaniya, a suburb of the Sri Lankan capital Colombo, on October 18, 2022. They were demanding the release of two leaders arrested on charges of terrorism, for allegedly inciting the mass protests that toppled former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s government in July.
