Many Singapore residents have welcomed government plans to bill Covid-19 patients who had chosen to remain unvaccinated, for their medical care. The city state has one of the world’s highest inoculation rates, with 85 per cent of its 5.45 million population fully vaccinated. The new Covid-19 medical care fees policy, which will take effect on December 8, 2021, is aimed at pressuring more Singapore residents to get their shots.
