A bus attack that killed nine Chinese workers in July was a suicide bombing. According to Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the attack was carried out by Islamist militants backed by Indian and Afghan intelligence agencies. At least 13 people were killed on July 14, 2021, when a blast ripped through a bus in the Upper Kohistan district of Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
