North Korea tests ballistic missile as US warship docks in South ahead of Kamala Harris visit

North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile into the sea off the country’s east coast on September 25, 2022, according to South Korean military officials. The launch of what was described as a single, short-range ballistic missile happened just two days after the nuclear-powered US aircraft carrier the USS Ronald Reagan docked in the South’s port city of Busan ahead of joint military drills and a visit to Seoul by US Vice-President Kamala Harris.
