India faces backlash over Islamophobic remarks

India’s ruling party, the BJP, has suspended two senior members for making derogatory comments about the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Several Gulf nations have condemned the remarks and there are growing calls to boycott Indian goods. Critics say the party’s response is too little, too late.
