At least 1,377 people were reportedly arrested during demonstrations across Russia against President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of a partial mobilisation of civilian reservists to fight in Ukraine. Just hours after the leader issued a decree on September 21, 2022, for the country’s first partial military mobilisation since World War II, thousands of people joined protests in most of the country’s major cities.
