France: Macron’s controversial pension reform law comes into effect

In France, President Emmanuel Macron’s new pension law has come into effect.
It raises the minimum retirement age from 62 to 64.
People will have to work at least 43 years to be eligible for a full pension.
The change comes after months of protests and nationwide strikes in what has proved a major political test for the president.

Al Jazeera’s Natacha Butler reports from Change in North-West France.
