Former Gambian president accused of human rights abuses

The Gambia’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission has called for former President Yahya Jammeh to face trial for murder, torture and sexual violence.
It based its investigation on hundreds of testimonies, spanning decades of violence.
Many at home and abroad hope to see Jammeh on trial, though he remains in exile.
