The African Union is now a permanent member of the G20. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement on Saturday in an opening address to this year’s G20 Summit in New Delhi. CGTN anchor Li Qiuyuan spoke with RT International about the group’s role in a multipolar world. She said China welcomes more countries from the Global South to join the bloc.
