A gunman, described as being in his early 30s and wearing a T-shirt with a swastika painted on it, reportedly entered his former school in central Russia and opened fire on pupils and teachers on September 26, 2022, killing at least 15 people including 11 children. Another 24 people were injured in the attack before the alleged shooter took his own life according to investigators. The campus shooting in Izhevsk was the latest in a spate of deadly school shootings in the country.
