All 132 people on board China Eastern Air crash confirmed dead as second black box recovered

One day after officials confirmed the deaths of all 132 people who were on board China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735, search teams recovered the plane’s second black box at the crash site in southern China on March 27, 2022. Investigators will analyse data from the device and a cockpit voice recorder found several days earlier to try and find the cause of the March 21 crash of the Boeing 737-800 that was on its way from Kunming in southwestern China to Guangzhou. A ceremony for the victims was held March 27 at the mountainous area where the plane came down near the city of Wuzhou in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
