A mother of 2 volunteered to carry out a suicide bombing attack, which killed 3 Chinese nationals in Karachi, Pakistan, on April 26, 2022. The assailant, Shari Baloch, held graduate degrees in zoology and education. She had volunteered on behalf of a separatist group called the Baloch Liberation Army, which claimed responsibility for the attack. They said this was their first suicide bombing by a woman. China condemned the attack and urged the Pakistani government to keep terrorists at bay.
