A live look at the funeral ceremony for late Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi two days after the 63-year-old died in a helicopter crash. The wreckage of the helicopter carrying Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, and six others was found on May 19, 2024, after a difficult search through a mountainous region in the country’s northwest near the Azerbaijan border. The accident has plunged the Islamic Republic into uncertainty regarding a transfer of power amid escalating regional tensions.
