Thailand has held a welcome ceremony to mark the return of two 1000-year-old artefacts from the US. The two hand-carved sandstone temple lintels were smuggled out of Thailand and sent to the US more than 50 years ago. They were later held by a collector who then donated the items to San Francisco’s Asian Arts Museum. The ancient relics are now back in their home country after a three-year legal challenge.
