US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth allegedly shared military plans about strikes in Yemen in a second group chat – that’s according to reports by US media.
The reports say Hegseth shared the information in a Signal group chat that included his wife, his brother and his personal lawyer, raising questions about his use of an unclassified messaging system to share sensitive information.
Last month a journalist revealed he was included in a separate chat sharing similar details.
The information included flight schedules for the fighter jets targeting Houthis in Yemen in March.
Al Jazeera’s Shihab Rattansi reports from Washington.
