Artem and Anastasiia Bykovets fled Kyiv after Russian troops invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. On a 37-hour journey to the west of the country, the former event organisers encouraged their six-year-old daughter to draw to channel her emotions. Her second drawing depicted Ukrainian resistance against Russia. This inspired the Bykovetses to curate an online gallery featuring drawings by children affected by the war.
