Multiple explosions were heard overnight in Mariupol, Kyiv and several other cities as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continued. One day after Russia declared the start of a “military operation”, burning houses, broken windows and damaged buildings were seen in the port city of Mariupol in eastern Ukraine. Families were left trying to make sense of the destruction inflicted by the military conflict.
