Amnesty International is the latest human rights group to describe Israel as an ‘apartheid state’ because of its treatment of Palestinians. Malians rally after army calls for protests over ECOWAS sanctions
Thousands of people have heeded calls by Mali’s military rulers for a nationwide protest against sanctions by the West African economic bloc, ECOWAS. The sanctions were imposed after the country’s military coup leader delayed elections – due next month – until 2025.
