Fans of Thai rapper Milli were queuing out the door for mango sticky rice in Bangkok on April 20, 2022, after the 19-year-old performed her song, “Mango Sticky Rice,” at the American music festival, Coachella. She also took mouthfuls of the much-loved dessert on stage, which caused sales in Thailand to jump nearly 100 per cent at some shops. “The line has now been extended to the train station,” said one mango sticky rice store owner, Thanyarat Suntiparadorn.
