The life of a sumo wrestler can be one of lavish gifts and public adoration. But it’s a short-lived career. Most sumo wrestlers retire in their 30s with little education and no real-world work experience. Few even earn salaries during their time in the sport. It can be a tough transition for many, but some former wrestlers have set up businesses to help them, and others like them, find their feet.
