Flash floods in Indonesia kill 2, leave at least 8 missing as heavy rains hit East Java towns

At least two people have been killed and eight are missing as flash floods triggered by heavy rain swept through Indonesian towns in East Java. Footage taken on November 4, 2021, shows strong currents sweeping away cars and damaging buildings in Batu city. The heavy rain is expected to continue through early next year due partly to a La Niña weather pattern.
