Divers have recently concluded work to recover centuries-old Chinese porcelain and artefacts from two historic shipwrecks found in 2015 off the coast of Singapore. The discovery of the ancient merchant vessels, one dating back to the 14th century and the other to 1796, is providing rare insight into the city state’s maritime history. The items found during a series of excavations from 2019 to mid-2021 will soon go on display at Singapore museums.
