US President Joe Biden has hinted the remaining American troops in Afghanistan may stay longer than the May 1 deadline to withdraw.
The Taliban insists the troops must leave by that date – as agreed with the previous US administration.
Talks are now being held in Moscow to speed up the stalled peace process.
