During the year-long closure of classrooms because of measures taken to curb the spread of Covid-19, classes have gone virtual in the Philippines.
But during the pandemic, not all students have access to the internet or even a mobile device to log in to online classes, leaving many teachers worried that students have not been learning much. President Rodrigo Duterte has refused to lift the restrictions until vaccinations are widespread. While the government said a vaccination drive is on track, the roll-out has been criticised for being slow as cases in the country continue to rise.
