Pakistani lawmakers and wealthy citizens in the country’s borderlands have been threatened over the phone by a Pakistan chapter of the Islamist extremist group. The Tehreek–e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which shares lineage with the Taliban, has become more active since the extremist group took control of neighbouring Afghanistan.
