With the Russian invasion of Ukraine reverberating around the world, the conflict has sent jitters as far away as Asia. In Taiwan, the island’s military has stepped up training amid fears of a possible invasion from mainland China. Beijing, which considers the self-ruled island a breakaway province, has not ruled out the use of force to reclaim Taiwan.
